Today I looked through some of my photos from earlier this year and I came across this series of pictures shot in April. Not only was the light great that day, I also managed to get fairly close to my 'subjects'. This was I managed to capture a set of close up pictures of this little family.

Todays pictures are form this year's Roskilde Festival. For years the festival has dreamt of having The Boss play on the orange stage. This year they finally succeeded and I think the performance lived up to all their hopes. It was a live show full of pure rock n' roll energy, from first to last song. Bruce and the E Street Band gave everybody fully value for the money. I am so happy I was there to be part of this experience.

Autumn is here - part 3

Today's pictures are black+white versions of some of my autumn pictures. Removing the colours also takes away the attraction we feel for the saturated autumn colours. At the same time it brings our attention to other details in the photos, details we often miss in heavy coloured pictures. In the following pictures I have not only converted them to black+white, I have also played with IR-effects. I find this gives a very interesting and different atmosphere the pictures, often with dark almost black sky and bright almost white foliage.

It is worth to note that these pictures were not shot with a IR-camera or using IR filters. The effect is applied in the post-processing. Here I am using Photoshop Elements (currently version 10). I normally start with applying it's standard black+white IR conversion as a starting points. From this I make further adjustments,mostly level adjustments until I find a result I am happy with.

Autumn is here - part 2

Today's pictures were shot on September 30th. It was a beautiful sunny day. The low autumn sun gave a string golden shine to the fields. This created a strong contrast against the clear blue sky. The clouds were moving in and slowly the light was dimmed, creating a different atmosphere to the images.

Back again

At the beginning of the year my blogging ambitions were high. What happened? I don't really know. Fact is I have not made any updates on the blog since then.
Well, it is time to make a change. The good thing is I have shot a lot of photos this year and have a lot of material I can post on the  blog.
To get more inspiration, I have also started more actively to follow other photo related blogs.
