Ready for Halloween

On my recent trip to Bornholm I captured this image. It had been a long day. We had been out walking since early morning and was on our way back to our house when we came across this house. The light was fading fast. The twilight, the candles in the windows and the two Jack-O'-Lanterns created a special mood that to some extent can be felt through this picture.

Seagulls

After I created the blog earlier this evening, I started going through some of the photos I have shot this summer. It has been fun to look through them again and selecting pictures for the site. I found these pictures of some seagulls that I shot on the beach outside Zandvoort in the Netherlands.

Hello world! .... and getting ready for Halloween

I am now officially a blogger! 


This is my first post on this site. It is a picture I shot when recently visiting the Danish island Bornholm during the autumn vacation. In Gudhjem (home of Gods) they were getting ready for Halloween. One of the activities they had in the main square was carving Jack-O lanterns. Here is a picture of some of the pumpkins awaiting 'treatment'.
